Getting Started
To use the new ‘Read ID Card’ feature, there are a few prerequisites
- Chrome on Windows: You must use the Google Chrome web browser on a Windows operating system. This ensures smooth performance of the feature.
- Chrome Extension: You will need to install a specific Chrome extension. You can do this by going to the Chrome Web Store and searching for the “Edunation UAE Smart Card Reader” extension.
- Smart Card Reader Device: Ensure that your smart card reader device is properly connected to your computer and is in good working order.
- Correct ID Card Insertion: The UAE ID card must be inserted correctly into the smart card reader device.
Once you have these requirements in place, using the ‘Read ID Card’ feature is straightforward.
